PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THE SAFETY NOTICE BEFORE INSTALLING YOUR MODULES

Safety notice

Your safety is a priority for coquo. Always follow the installation instructions and safety warnings included in your module's packaging. These documents are also available free of charge at coquo.ca.

WARNING

Modules that are not secured to the wall using safety clamps and anchors are at risk of tipping and/or falling, which can cause accidents and/or serious injury. To prevent a module from tipping over, it is essential to use safety clamps and anchors to secure the module permanently to the wall. Safety clamps are included in the packaging. If, however, the fasteners are missing or have been misplaced, contact a modular specialist, who will be happy to send you the necessary fasteners free of charge. Anchors for safety fasteners are not included in the package, as their choice depends on the type of wall to which the modules are attached. Ask your local hardware store for advice on which anchors are best suited to your type of wall.

Under no circumstances may the cabinets be used for climbing or supporting weights in excess of the maximum limit specific to each module.

Safety recommendation: Prevent children from climbing onto drawers, shelves, doors or any other part of the furniture.

Safety notice

If your configuration includes a combination of several modules, it is essential to secure the modules with the safety fasteners provided. If, however, the fasteners are missing or have been misplaced, contact a modular specialist, who will be happy to send you the necessary fasteners free of charge. Once the modules have been secured together, they must also be fastened to the wall using the safety clamps.

Modules that are not secured to the wall using safety clamps and anchors are liable to topple and/or fall, causing accidents and/or serious injury.

  • Each drawer is designed to accommodate a maximum weight of 50 lbs (22 kg). Place heavier items in the bottom drawer, where applicable. Oak veneer provides a solid, sturdy surface, but some kitchen accessories may leave a deposit or scratch it.

  • Each metal shelf is designed for a maximum weight of 50 lbs (22 kg). The metal shelf is not fixed and may tip over if not properly positioned. Electrostatic painting provides extra resistance, but some kitchen accessories may leave a deposit or scratch the surface.

  • The doors are not designed to accept weight or pressure. Each shelf is designed for a maximum weight of 20 lbs (9 kg). Oak veneer provides a solid, sturdy surface, but some kitchen accessories may leave a deposit or scratch the surface.

  • Each metal tray is designed to accommodate a maximum weight of 50 lb (22 kg). To prevent tipping, the metal tray must be properly secured to the module in accordance with the installation instructions. Electrostatic painting provides extra resistance, but some kitchen accessories may leave a deposit or scratch the surface.

  • The bench or coffee table is designed to support a maximum weight of 200 lbs (91 kg). Under no circumstances may the base or top surface be used for climbing, or for supporting excess weight. Failure to secure this module to the wall with safety fasteners and suitable anchors may result in tipping and/or falling, causing accidents and/or serious injury.

  • If your island configuration includes a combination of base cabinets, it's essential to fasten the modules side by side and/or back to back with the safety fasteners provided. If, however, the fasteners are missing or have been misplaced, contact a modular specialist, who will be happy to send you the necessary fasteners free of charge. Under no circumstances may the base or top surface be used for climbing or supporting excess weight. As these modules are not wall-mounted, there is a risk of tipping and/or falling, which could cause accidents and/or serious injury.

  • Under no circumstances may the wooden structure of the modules be used to climb or support a weight exceeding the maximum limit specific to each piece of furniture.

  • The cabinet is designed to accommodate a maximum weight of 100 lbs (45 kg), including the weight of the countertop. Wooden countertops can be screwed into place using the anchor spaces already attached to the cabinet. To fasten in place a stone countertop or other material that does not allow the use of screws, the use of glue is essential. Countertops are not included.

  • It is essential to use the metal feet supplied in your packaging to level the module. Adjustable metal feet offer greater stability. They cannot be replaced by other types of feet (e.g. castors). The addition of felt pads under the feet is not recommended and may affect the stability of the module. To ensure the module's stability, screw in the 4 brackets until the screw threads are no longer visible. The metal tabs may scratch your floor if the modules are moved. The weight of the modules, counters and accessories may also, over time, leave a mark on the floor.
